About the Tyvek® Wallet

The first Tyvek® wallets were designed by Amorrortu in the year 2004. The people from DuPont Argentina certify this.

In 2005 the MightyWallet came up as an innovative product. The problem of the MightyWallet is that they use a lot of Tyvek material. The same 50 by 70 cm sheet, which is used in the offset printer, fits 1 Mighty or 6 Tybag, as we can see below.

I refer to the Tybag of 3 modules. We also have Tybag wallets with 4 or 5 modules. I believe that if we are to make an ecological wallet, it should ideally use the least material as possible, more over if we consider that Tyvek is recyclable but not biodegradable.

Also, if we talk about the slim concept, we don’t need to use so much material. In summary, the Mighty uses 6 times more material than a Tybag wallet, if we consider all the waste it generates.

Another important concept is that wallets are divided in sections. The Tybag with 3 sections can be used for bills in one pocket, and has 2 pockets for cards.

The Tybag of 5 sections has a divider for bills and another pocket for cards (actually 2 more).

One MightWallet would be equivalent to a wallet of 11 sections, to carry the same!

Although these models could tempt someone to copy them, they are registered. Just by copying the templates, they would not easily reach our level of prices. Also, they could be buying a legal problem.

We invite you to go through our current catalogue for orders and the samples gallery. We have exclusive models from artists such as Andrea Castagna and Dina Cusner, amongst others.
